Repossess by Jennifer Foor
Raised by my four brothers, I'm the poster girl of a
hot-mess. A sucker for cheating assholes and shitty friends.
It's the reason I've come home.
The only reason!
I arrive to find the family business in shambles. My brothers have managed to run it into the ground. With new competition, the stakes are high, especially when I realize whose stealing all of the business out from under us.
Seeing him again isn't the hard part.
I'm over Crane Lord, his cocky, dangerous sex appeal, his criminal ways of getting by, and how
he used to own every part of me.
He's the enemy. I don't want him.
Oh, what a wildly spun tale. So many lies. So many games. So much running.
This highly fast paced story of Crane, Raimey and her brothers is full of deceit and lies, but yet is so deliciously and deceivingly told. The characters are so different than my normal reads and I like that. I don't want predictability and cookie cutter characters. I wasn't raised by four brothers and coming home to a shit show of a show. Gone is the cliche overprotective older brothers. I LOVE when characters don't act or behave like I would or how I want them to. What a boring book world we'd have if they did. I personally loved Raimey. What a mess and I loved every second of it.
Foor ventured a new direction with this one and I loved it. Probably my fave book out of her thus far. Again, this book moves FAST with a plot full of all kinds of lies, twists, and shit hiding around the corner I didn't suspect.
Sometimes imperfection is perfection.
