The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary.

But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

For two years, the man known as The Wall of Winnipeg couldn't find it in him to tell her good morning or congratulate her on her birthday. Now? He's asking for the unthinkable.

What do you say to the man who is used to getting everything he wants?

Oh where to being. This book introduced me to such a talented author. Her storying telling abilities are freaking amazing.  All it took, was this book and I am addicted.

Okay, let’s get this show on the road. Vanessa put herself through college and has some serious debt to pay off. She has an amazing job working as the NFO’s best, Aiden “The Wall of Winnipeg” Graves. She is making great money but lately it is getting harder and harder for her to stay. Aiden isn’t the easiest person to work for. He is set in his ways. He follows a strict diet. His focus first and foremost is football. I have to give Vanessa major kudos. Aiden’s attitude and lack of gratitude pissed me off.  I honestly don’t know how Vanessa worked for him as long as she did. An incident involving his agent and their conversation pushed Vanessa over the edge and give her the courage to quit.

Aiden Graves. Focused, determined, sexy and a man of very, very, very few words.  He is an emotionless wall of muscle. When Vanessa quits, he finds himself in a bit of a bind and also finds himself at her apartment, begging her to help him out.

Vanessa never expected to see Aiden again so when he shows up at her apartment, apologizing and begging for help, she is shocked. She is even more shocked at what he is asking her to do. When she finally gives in to him, little did she know their lives were about to change.

I don’t want to give too much away. I honestly thought Aiden was a jack ass but as I kept reading I found myself falling in love with him and his rude-ish ways. I loved watching him realize things, understand things and I turned to mush when he finally opens up to Vanessa.

Their journey was definitely a unique one and I loved every single minute of it. The absolute best though, was the freaking ANTICIPATION… Holy shit does Mariana know how to build up anticipation.

Both Aiden and Vanessa stole my heart as did Zach.  Vanessa is such a beautiful character inside and out and so tough. My heart breaks for all she went through. Aiden’s story also made me sad but also explains why he is the way he is. Underneath his robot exterior, he honestly has a good heart and truly does protect those he loves.

Mariana Zapata, you are amazing! I am in awe of the way you tell your stories and the characters you create. The sexual tension you build up. I love how the stories focus on the building of their friendships and relationships then BAM, you end up with the best anticipated sex ever and it is sexy, hot, wild and romantic.

For all you readers ALL of her stories are a must read.
