Under His Ink by Maya Hughes
She’s etching her mark on my skin and the pain has never felt better…
Dahlia got caught up in my dangerous past a long time ago, but she rebuilt her life. Now, I’m back because she’s the only person I can trust. And I couldn’t stay away for another day.
Being near me means danger for the both of us because no one leave the mob unscathed. She’s inking over my past one day at a time and its strictly business for her, but the flames licking at our heels aren’t just from the heat between us.
But the only thing harder than leaving the mob is leaving her. I’ll show her that what we have is forever as long as I’m still breathing…
Under His Ink is a 55,000 word second chance mob romance.
Maya, Maya, Maya... you little minx, you.
This was a new-to-me author and I was very pleasantly surprised with the matchmaking. I hope we date for a while.
Maya has a very smooth style of storytelling. She took a mob tale and a tattoo artist tale and spun them together in a way I haven't seen before. Total originality points here. And let's be real, I have a soft spot for tattoo books. And this one is all about the tattoos.
My other favorite thing about this one is that Dahlia is my favorite character. I love a good, strong female lead that dominates the story.
Aside from my love of the chick and tattoos, this is a fast-paced and intriguing read. Held me tight from beginning to end. Loved it. Absolutely fucking loved it.
