Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata

Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata

Ruby Santos knew exactly what she was getting herself into when she signed up to write a soldier overseas.

The guidelines were simple: one letter or email a week for the length of his or her deployment. Care packages were optional.

Been there, done that. She thought she knew what to expect.

What she didn’t count on was falling in love with the guy.

Mariana is one of the authors I can just 1-click without ever having to read the synopsis. She is that good!

I loved every aspect of this story, being a pen pal so to speak. The minute I started this book, I couldn’t stop. Every single correspondence between Aaron and Ruby had me hooked! The innocence of their letters to one another touched my heart.

The idea of falling for someone you have never met, have no clue as to what they look like, is kinda romantic, think about it. Writing to each other weekly about anything and everything, how can you not develop feelings for one another? This is what I ADORED about this story. The foundation of how they began. It wasn’t based on looks, it was based on words that came from their heart, feelings they placed on paper. Simply beautiful.

Ruby had me in awe. She is so self-conscious and has zero self-confidence but at the same time, she is smart, beautiful and witty. There is an innocence about her that you can’t help but fall in love with.

Aaron automatically won points in my book. There aren’t enough thank you’s I could give to those who choose to serve in the military to protect our country. I fell in love with Aaron with every letter I read. He is funny and has such a big heart.

Aaron and Ruby really complement each other. She is the light to his darkness and vice versa. The way they supported each other, encouraged each other was heartfelt and raw. I was able to connect to both characters and was so sad when the story ended. I wanted more, I still want more. Mariana, if you are reading this- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.. I need some more Ruron!

The Queen of Slow Burn romance has done it again! You have to read this book!
